Item 1 – Auckland Transport Monthly Update

Summary of Discussions

Staff from Auckland Transport updated the board on the budget that was recently confirmed in November 2024 for the Local Board Capital Transport Fund. Auckland Transport asked for direction from the board for the allocation of the confirmed budget. Additionally, the recovery team updated the board on road and slip repairs from November to December 2024.

Item 2 – Future use of properties at 14 and 20 Glenesk Road, Piha

Summary of Discussions

Mace Ward, Group Recovery Manager led the discussion on the background to the purchase of the 14 and 20 Glenesk Road properties after flood assessments were undertaken. The board raised questions regarding the justification for this purchase and other concerns including the risk of the purchase of these properties and the future use of the properties. Mace Ward noted that the future land-use of these properties will be led by the future land-use policy that will be reporting to the Governing Body in February.

Item 3 – Parks and Community Facilities Monthly Update

Summary of Discussions

Parks and Community Facilities staff updated the board on various focus areas including; maintenance and delivery, arboriculture, ecological, and project delivery updates. Staff also presented Sandy’s Parade amenity upgrade questionnaire for public consultation to the board for its consideration.
