Purpose of the report
1. To present the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board workshop agenda for 11 February 2025.

Executive summary
2. Workshops are open by way of recording the session and making the recording available after the workshop.
3. Some sessions may not be open to the public. The staff / chairperson and deputy chairperson decide which sessions are open to the public, depending on the sensitivity of the information being discussed. If a session is not open, a reason will be provided below.
4. Workshops will be recorded and a link to the recording will be included in the published documents.
5. Local Board workshops provide an opportunity for local boards to carry out their governance role in the following areas:
a) Accountability to the public
b) Engagement
c) Input to regional decision-making
d) Keeping informed
e) Local initiative / preparing for specific decisions
f) Oversight and monitoring
g) Setting direction / priorities / budget.
6. Workshops do not have decision-making authority.
7. Workshops are used to canvass issues, prepare local board members for upcoming decisions and to enable discussion between elected members and staff.
8. Members are respectfully reminded of their Code of Conduct obligations with respect to conflicts of interest and confidentiality.
9. The following will be covered in the workshop:-

Climate Action Engagement, Eco-neighbourhoods and OPE Presenter/s: Igancio Quinteras (EMRP), Rory Lenihan-Ilkin (Low Carbon Specialist) Purpose: Define board position and feedback Governance role: Oversight and monitoring Proposed Outcome/s: Update the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board members on the progress of the EcoNeighbourhoods evaluation report. To receive any feedback that the board may have regarding the programmes activities and future direction.

AT - Local Board crash map dashboard - demonstration and feedback Presenter/s: Kym Smith(Safety Insights & Optimisation), Nicola Gray(Transport Safety & Partnerships), Mike Mazerolle(Geospatial Analytics Manager), Tina Fong(Senior GIS BA UX Designer), Joey Law(GIS Software Engineer • Data), Jennifer Fraser
Purpose: Define board position and feedback Governance role: Keeping informed Proposed Outcome/s: To gain board’s feedback on the crash map dashboard, developed as a public facing tool, to give a high-level view of crash data within a local board area. Feedback from the LB members to progress the tool to launch stage with the rest of the Tamaki Makaurau local boards.

Session 4 – 11.35am - 12.20pm |
Auckland Transport – Kōkiri Local transport priorities Presenter/s: Jennifer Fraser (Auckland Transport Relationship Advisor)
Purpose: Check in on performance / inform future direction Governance role: Setting direction / priorities / budget Proposed Outcome/s: Board Members understand the priority of transport projects in their area and agree on the level of engagement for these projects. AT will provide quality advice to Local Board on priority of projects and levels of engagements for those projects, under Kokiri (relationship building) for Local Board to consider. The engagement approach can be Collaborate, Consult, Inform. Local Board can also add projects to Advocacy or Do Not Support categories if they wish.

Eke Panuku – Update on the Mural Presenter/s: Richard Davison (Priority Location Director), Lisa Gooding (Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor)
Purpose: Define board position and feedback Governance role: Keeping informed Proposed Outcome/s: Provide the board with an update on installing a mural of Faʻanānā Efeso Collins withing the Manukau City Centre.
