Local Board Workshop

 

 

Session 1 – 9.05am - 9.50am

Climate Action Engagement, Eco-neighbourhoods and OPE

Presenter/s:                  Igancio Quinteras (EMRP), Rory Lenihan-Ilkin (Low Carbon Specialist), Carah Doherty, Frances Hayton (Low Carbon Specialist) Cate Jessep (Sustainable Schools Advisor)         

Purpose:                        Define board position and feedback     

Governance role:          Oversight and monitoring

Summary of discussions:

a)          The local board members were updated on the progress of the EcoNeighbourhoods evaluation report. The board gave feedback regarding the programmes activities and future direction.

AT - Local Board crash map dashboard - demonstration and feedback

Presenter/s:                  Kym Smith(Safety Insights & Optimisation), Nicola Gray(Transport Safety & Partnerships), Mike Mazerolle(Geospatial Analytics Manager), Tina Fong(Senior GIS BA UX Designer), Joey Law(GIS Software Engineer • Data), Jennifer Fraser (AT Relationship Manager)

 

Purpose:                       Define board position and feedback

Governance role:          Keeping informed

Summary of discussions:

a)             The board was introduced to the crash map dashboard, developed as a public facing tool, to give a high-level view of crash data within a local board area.

b)             The board also gave their feedback on the progress of the tool to launch stage with the rest of the Tamaki Makaurau local boards.

 

Session 4 – 11.35am - 12.20pm

Auckland Transport – Kōkiri Local transport priorities

Presenter/s:                  Jennifer Fraser (Auckland Transport Relationship Advisor)

 

Purpose:                       Check in on performance / inform future direction

Governance role:          Setting direction / priorities / budget

 

Summary of discussions:

a)             The Board was advised on priority of projects and levels of engagements for those projects, under Kokiri (relationship building) for Local Board to consider. The feedback from the Board will be resolved in the 18 March 2025 business meeting.

Eke Panuku – Update on the Mural

Purpose:                       Define board position and feedback

Governance role:          Keeping informed

 

Summary of discussions:

a)             The board was provided an update on installing a mural of Faʻanānā Efeso Collins withing the Manukau City Centre.
