Purpose of the report
1. To present the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board workshop agenda for 25 February 2025.

Executive summary
2. Workshops are open by way of recording the session and making the recording available after the workshop.
3. Some sessions may not be open to the public. The staff / chairperson and deputy chairperson decide which sessions are open to the public, depending on the sensitivity of the information being discussed. If a session is not open, a reason will be provided below.
4. Workshops will be recorded and a link to the recording will be included in the published documents.
5. Local Board workshops provide an opportunity for local boards to carry out their governance role in the following areas:
a) Accountability to the public
b) Engagement
c) Input to regional decision-making
d) Keeping informed
e) Local initiative / preparing for specific decisions
f) Oversight and monitoring
g) Setting direction / priorities / budget.
6. Workshops do not have decision-making authority.
7. Workshops are used to canvass issues, prepare local board members for upcoming decisions and to enable discussion between elected members and staff.
8. Members are respectfully reminded of their Code of Conduct obligations with respect to conflicts of interest and confidentiality.

Auckland Transport - Manukau Comprehensive Parking Management Plan (CPMP) Presenter/s: Claire Covacich (Principal Transport Planner), Yvonne Gwyn (Senior Transport Planner), Liam Burkhardt (Senor Transport Planner), Hannah Ross TBC (Principal Comms & Engagement) Purpose: Keeping informed Governance role: Receive update on progress Proposed Outcome/s: To inform the Local Board and seek inputs to the development of a comprehensive parking management plan for the Manukau area. Auckland Transport has commenced the development of a comprehensive parking management plan for the Manukau area. We would like to present learnings/ insights and and ask the local board for further information about the local board area- including other community stakeholders and interest groups that we should engage with, any further parking related issues and opportunities. After seeking these additional insights, we will develop responses, or ‘change proposals ‘which we will bring back to stakeholders and the local board for consideration at a workshop in May. Auckland Transport - Community Cycling and Micromobility projects in Ōtara Papatoetoe Presenter/s: Mitra Prasad (Technical Lead Active Modes), Fran Amos (Principal Traffic Engineer), Jennifer Fraser (Elected Member Relationship Partner) Purpose: Oversight and monitoring Governance role: Define opportunities / potential approach Proposed Outcome/s: To provide an update to the Local Board on where the projects are in their stages. To provide the update and receive any advice or comments from the Board.

Community Wellbeing Q2 update Presenter/s: Richard Misilei (Community Wellbeing Lead & Coach), Monika Prasad, Ian Toki, (Manager Community Places - Libraries), Henry Paoo (Manager Community Places - Arts), Gillianne Ray, Fereti Lualua, Emma Helmich (Specialist Advisors) Purpose: Keeping informed Governance role: Review progress with projects Proposed Outcome/s: To update the local board on Q2 activities from Community Wellbeing - Community Delivery South (Arts facilities, Community Centre, Community Development & Libraries), The elected members are given a high-level update of the Q2 activities (Oct-Nov-Dec 2024 of the FY/25 work programme) that is funded by the local board.
