Session 1

Auckland Transport: Public Transport and Pine Harbour bus route/stops updates

Purpose:                      Update the board on public transport plans for the Franklin area

Governance role:        Keeping informed

Summary of Discussions:

The board were updated on the train and bus network, including public transport network plans and responsive parking management.

Franklin Paths Update

Purpose:                      Paths work programme update to the board

Governance role:        Oversight and monitoring

Summary of Discussions:

The board were updated on project progress including ‘quick win’ projects, development of the prioritisation grid, alignment with the Blue Green Network and Kiwirail Corridor access.

Eke Panuku – site sales and placemaking

Purpose:                      Programme update on site sales and placemaking, including sharing                            the proposed mural for Franklin: the Centre

Governance role:        Oversight and monitoring

Summary of Discussions:

The board were updated on site sale progress; saw a preview of a proposed mural for Franklin: the Centre;  noted plans for 2025 Matariki; and discussed the haangii pit proposal. Clarification and direction on removal of the Edinburgh St parklets was provided.

 

Session 5 

I&ES: Watercare work programme – Outfall renewals

Presenters:                  Kartik Bhat, Relationship Advisor Resilience & Infrastructure

                                    Aoibhe Charlott Kennedy, Healthy Waters Specialist

Purpose:                      Discuss proposed work programme to enable informed decision-                               making

Governance role:        Setting direction/priorities/budgets

Summary of Discussions:      

Board were informed of the outfall renewals and erosion programme as it affects fish passage, and were provided examples of successful projects. Work is carried out by catchment as funding allows.
