Item 1 – Grants Review

Summary of discussions

The Grants Advisor provided an overview of previous financial years’ community grants alongside reviewing the 2025 / 2026 grant programme.

Item 2 – The health of the Manukau Harbour, a joint workshop with Healthy Waters

Summary of discussions

Staff provided an overview of key initiatives and projects relating to the health of the Manukau Harbour including waste water management, stormwater solutions, and community engagement. Additionally, staff discussed collaboration between Watercare and Healthy Waters and outlined Māngere waste water treatment plant compliance performance.

Item 3 – Community feedback on draft Waitākere Ranges Climate Action Plan

Summary of discussions

Staff provided a summary of submissions from the draft Waitākere Ranges Climate Action plan including from Have your say, West Auckland Māori leadership collective, Piha community feedback, and Glen Eden Community Hui feedback. Additionally, suggestions for new actions not in the draft plan and an overview of key themes from the submissions were presented.

Item 4 – Auckland Transport Monthly Update: Kōkiri Agreement Update

Summary of discussions

  Auckland Transport staff identified projects and programmes that the local board wants to collaborate, consult and stay well briefed on.

This workshop was held with the public excluded (confidential), in particular the workshop materials contained disclosure of commercially sensitive information regarding partners financial and operational matters and comments regarding funding, partial funding, and declines for the partners. This relates to s7(2)(b)(ii) under LGOIMA, the making available of the information would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied or who is the subject of the information and s s7(2)(f)(i), making sure we can do fair and frank discussions.
