3          Local Board Workshop

 

 

Session 1 –

Franklin Local Parks Management Plan – Waiuku Subdivision

Presenter/s:                  Nataly Anchicoque, Service & Asset Planner

                                      Kiri Le Heron, Service & Asset Planning

Purpose:                       To present proposed classifications for parks and reserves in the Waiuku subdivision area as part of the Franklin Local Parks Management Plan and seek the board’s input.

Governance role:          Setting direction / priorities/ budgets

Summary of Discussions: 

The Board provided input to the proposed classifications for a number of reserves, and further information was provided about other sites. Another workshop is to be booked for mana whenua feedback, and a report will come to a business meeting after that, followed by public notification.

Session 2

Consultation feedback – Colin Lawrie Park and Paparata Reserve

Presenter/s:                  Kristen Greenfield

Purpose:                       To provide the Franklin Local Board with consultation feedback undertaken on the Colin Lawrie Reserve concept plan and Paparata Reserve pre concept plan.

Governance role:          Setting direction / priorities/ budgets

Summary of Discussions:

Board considered consultation feedback on the Colin Lawrie fields, to help formulate their views. They gave feedback to staff. An updated concept plan will be brought to the May business meeting.

Paparata Reserve: The board will receive redacted submissions to assist with formulating their views. A draft concept plan will be provided in May.

Session 3 

Parks and Community Facilities Work programme update

Purpose:                       Monthly work programme update

Governance role:          Oversight and monitoring

Summary of Discussions

Board were kept informed of work programme and project progress and provided feedback to staff on a range of items.

 

Session 4

Papahua Master Plan consultation results / Belmont Park: Development of Sports Park

Presenters:                   Csongor Czegledi, Senior Landscape Architect

      Felicia Wood, Project Manager        

Purpose:                       Present consultation results from Papahua Master Plan consultation for                                 the board’s information and consideration.

Governance Role:       Oversight and monitoring

Summary of Discussions:

The Board reviewed the results of consultation on the Master Plan, and provided feedback to staff with their views.
