Purpose of the report
1. To present the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board workshop agenda for 9 April 2025.

Executive summary
2. Workshops will be recorded. The link to the recordings can be found at this link from the Auckland Council Youtube channel: Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board workshop - recordings
3. Some sessions may not be open to the public therefore will not be recorded. The staff and/or chairperson and deputy chairperson decide which sessions are open to the public, depending on the sensitivity of the information being discussed. If a session is not open, a reason will be provided below.
4. Local Board workshops provide an opportunity for local boards to carry out their governance role in the following areas:
a) Accountability to the public
b) Engagement
c) Input to regional decision-making
d) Keeping informed
e) Local initiative / preparing for specific decisions
f) Oversight and monitoring
g) Setting direction / priorities / budget.
5. Workshops do not have decision-making authority.
6. Workshops are used to canvass issues, prepare local board members for upcoming decisions and to enable discussion between elected members and staff.
7. Members are respectfully reminded of their Code of Conduct obligations with respect to conflicts of interest and confidentiality.

Planning and Operations - LB Annual Planning workshop 6 - Local Board Work Programmes & Targets (continued from Wed 2 April) Presenter/s: Manoj Rathod (Lead Financial Advisor), Anna Jackson (Integration Specialist), Liz Muliaga (Manager Community Programme Delivery), Bill Teaukura (Manager Area Operations - Parks & Community Facilities), Emily Wagon (Parks & Places Specialist), Anand Thakkar (Work Programme Lead - Parks & Community Facilities), Bobby Kennedy (Connected Communities Lead & Coach). Purpose: To continue discussions on the draft work programmes, LBA targets and get feedback. This is a continuation of the workshop from Wed 2 April. Governance role: Setting direction / priorities / budget Proposed Outcome/s: Receive local board feedback on draft 2025/2026 work programmes (this will be used to update work programmes before presenting the finalised work programmes to the board). Service and Asset planning - Walter Massey Park masterplan Presenter/s: Sheryne Lok (Service and Asset Planning Specialist), Nataly Anchicoque (Service and Asset Planner) Kiri Le Heron (Team Lead) - all in person, Nina Rattray (Manager Landscape Architects), Neda Afshar (Landscape Architect) - both online. Purpose: To update the local board on the progress and outcomes related to Walter Massey Park. Governance role: Setting direction / priorities / budget Proposed Outcome/s: To gather direction and feedback on the draft vision and principles of the park’s masterplan.
