Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

 

Member G Murphy declared a conflict of interest in item 4 - 2024/2025 Manurewa Local Grant Round Three Grants Allocations in relation to application LG2510-303 New Foundations Trust.

Local Board Workshop

Item 1 – 1.30-2.00pm (CONFIDENTIAL)

Request for Proposal (RFP)

s7(2)(h)(i) This workshop was held with the public excluded (confidential) as the withholding of the information is necessary to enable the local authority holding the information to carry on, without prejudice or disadvantage, negotiations (including commercial and industrial negotiations). In particular this workshop discussed the procurement of a commercial lease including details of applicant criteria and assessment.

Item 2 – 2.00-3.00pm

2024/2025 Manurewa Local Grants Round Three

Summary of Discussions

Staff presented the applications for the 2024/2025 Manurewa Local Grants Round Three and provided recommendations. The board gave direction on each application. A formal decision will not be made until the Manurewa Local Board business meeting on 17 April 2025.

Item 3 – 3.00-3.30pm

Manurewa Play Plan 2025

Summary of Discussions

Staff presented the final draft of the Manurewa Play Plan 2025, which will be ready for adoption at the Manurewa Local Board business meeting on 15 May 2025.

·       A board member gave feedback that the plan did not include specific information on the Pasifika community, which makes up a large proportion on Manurewa’s demographic.

·       The board member expressed desire for more data to be included in the future. Staff note that current data is not available and community engagement was beyond the scope of the project.
