Purpose of the report
1. To present the Waitākere Ranges Local Board workshop agenda for 10 April 2025.

Executive summary
2. Most workshops are open to the public to attend as observers in person.
3. Some sessions may not be open to the public. The staff / chairperson and deputy chairperson decide which sessions are open to the public, depending on the sensitivity of the information being discussed. If a session is not open, a reason will be provided below.
4. Local Board workshops provide an opportunity for local boards to carry out their governance role in the following areas:
a) Accountability to the public
b) Engagement
c) Input to regional decision-making
d) Keeping informed
e) Local initiative / preparing for specific decisions
f) Oversight and monitoring
g) Setting direction / priorities / budget.
5. Workshops do not have decision-making authority.
6. Workshops are used to canvass issues, prepare local board members for upcoming decisions and to enable discussion between elected members and staff.
7. Members are respectfully reminded of their Code of Conduct obligations with respect to conflicts of interest and confidentiality.

Item 2 – Increase funding amounts for Community Led Centres |

Presenter/s: Jamie Adkins, Place and Partner Specialist.
Purpose: To present to the local board proposed new 'funding for Success' amounts for 2025/2026 for Glen Eden Community House and Titirangi Community House. Proposed Outcome/s: To receive feedback and direction from the local board regarding future funding amounts. |

Purpose: To have an active discussion with the local board about our proposal, the funding required, how it could relate to the restoration of the Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area and the aspirations of Te Kawerau ā Maki and why this is a strategic approach. Proposed Outcome/s: To have a clear understanding about the opportunities for funding and collaboration between the local board and our two community groups going forward. |
Item 4 – Local grant Round 2 Waitākere Ranges Local Board |

Purpose: To review the 2024/2025 local grant round 2 applications. Proposed Outcome/s: To fund, part fund or decline the local grant round 2 applications.
