Purpose of the report
1. To present the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board workshop agenda for 23 April 2025.

2. Workshops will be recorded. The link to the recordings can be found at this link from the Auckland Council Youtube channel: Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board workshop - recordings
3. Some sessions may not be open to the public therefore will not be recorded. The staff and/or chairperson and deputy chairperson decide which sessions are open to the public, depending on the sensitivity of the information being discussed. If a session is not open, a reason will be provided below.
4. Local Board workshops provide an opportunity for local boards to carry out their governance role in the following areas:
a) Accountability to the public
b) Engagement
c) Input to regional decision-making
d) Keeping informed
e) Local initiative / preparing for specific decisions
f) Oversight and monitoring
g) Setting direction / priorities / budget.
5. Workshops do not have decision-making authority.
6. Workshops are used to canvass issues, prepare local board members for upcoming decisions and to enable discussion between elected members and staff.
7. Members are respectfully reminded of their Code of Conduct obligations with respect to conflicts of interest and confidentiality.

Planning and Operations - LB Annual Planning workshop 7 - LB Annual Planning workshop 7 - AB consultation feedback and input + fees and charges Presenter/s: Daniel Poe (Snr Local Board Advisor), Ana Day (Local Board Advisor), Manoj Rathod (Lead Financial Advisor), Brandii Stephano (Engagement Advisor) Purpose: To discuss consultation feedback on the Annual Budget / Local Board Agreement topics, input on regional topics and fees & charges. Governance role: Setting direction / priorities / budget Proposed Outcome/s: Discuss consultation feedback and finalise input on regional topics to be approved at business meetings 29 April - 1 May 2025. Community Wellbeing – Economic Broker Presenter/s: Lisa Beale (Economic Broker), Craig Jones (Director, Visitor Solutions) - in person Purpose: Present the draft Māngere- Ōtāhuhu Economic Development Strategy with the Local Board's feedback incorporated. Craig Jones, Director, Visitor Solutions to attend and present the draft Scoping Document regarding the local visitor economy. Governance role: Setting direction / priorities / budget Proposed Outcome/s: The Local Board will be informed of how their feedback has shaped the Economic Development Strategy to prepare for the Strategy to be adopted. Additionally, Visitor Solutions will present their draft Scoping Strategy relating to the visitor economy.
