Resolution number PPK/2025/65 MOVED by Deputy Chairperson J Robinson, seconded by Chairperson B Catchpole: That the Papakura Local Board: a) acknowledge the passing of Don Hadfield. Don joined the Papakura Community Crimewatch Patrol in 2008, becoming a member of the committee and chair for many years, Don was passionate about cars and maintained the patrol vehicles, servicing them free of charge and making sure they were registered and warranted. He would always step in if someone was unavailable for their shift and enjoyed being with the patrol at community events, keeping the team entertained with his many stories. Don was a hard worker and took pride in doing any job well. He will be a greatly missed member of the Papakura Community Patrol. Our thoughts go out to his wife Dawn and family.

Resolution number PPK/2025/66 MOVED by Chairperson B Catchpole, seconded by Member F Auva'a: That the Papakura Local Board: a) acknowledge the passing of Allan Bell. Allan served on the Papakura District Council as a councillor in the 1990s. He pushed for the purchase of the land for Bruce Pulman Park and was known as a person who got things done. Allan became a Justice of the Peace on 11 November 1997. He was an active Justice and took his role seriously. After the JP accreditation test came in 10 years ago, Allan always made sure he took the biannual test, even when he was ill. This showed his dedication to his role as a Justice of the Peace. Our thoughts go out to his wife Adrienne and the wider family.
