Session 1

Healthy Waters update on Making Space for Water

Presenters:                   Kartik Bhat, Relationship Advisor Resilience & Infrastructure

                                      Elizabeth Johnson, Principal Healthy Waters

Purpose:                       Provide update on project approval progress and provide feedback on engagement plans

Governance Role:        Keeping informed

Summary of Discussions:

The update included reporting maintenance work, flood intelligence cameras, the Making Space for Rural Water fund (for fencing and planting), rural settlements work (in conjunction with Auckland Transport) and community resilience activity. The board had several requests for staff to follow up.

Summary of Discussions:

The Board provided input into the proposed work programme, reviewing budget allocation proposals for the Opex Capex and Māori Outcomes programmes, prior to the report coming to a business meeting for final decision-making.
