Governance role: Work programme updates Proposed Outcome/s: Receive update on progress
The local board was provided with an update on the Community and Social Recovery in Devonport-Takapuna. The local board raised the following points and questions in response to the presentation: · Supports a more streamlined communications approach. Suggested staff connect with the Local Board Engagement Advisor. · Sought clarity on Milford not being identified as a priority. Staff advised it was initially due to lack of data, but Milford is now acknowledged as a focus moving forward. · Staff noted the Milford community is adapting well. Weekly catchups now in place, for those who need them. · Supports the idea of the “Recovery Toolbox” as an information resource for use by other regions and recovery services. · acknowledge and appreciate the role of Navigators in building trust between council and communities. · Suggest exploring a partnership approach to align with the board’s activator model, which has been effective. · Request staff connect with Neighbourhood Support and local street coordinators.

2025/2026 Devonport-Takapuna Local Grants Round One Presenter/s: Vincent Marshall Grants Advisor
Governance role: Local initiative / preparing for specific decisions Proposed Outcome/s: Review community grant applications
The local board was provided with an overview of the 2025/2026 Local Grants round one applications
The local board raised the following points and questions in response to the presentation: · Devonport Community House Inc – Requested clarity on anticipated attendance · Takapuna Grammar School Board of Trustees – Requested clarity on public access · Stanley Bay Petanque Club Incorporated – Requested staff seek feedback from Healthy Waters. Has applicant engaged with RTH regarding supply of plants or volunteers. · Warriors Community Foundation – Requested confirmation from schools on participation. Questioned whether programme is during or after school, and relevance to rugby league in the area. · Nightsong – Requested clarity on run time. · Cooper & Co Real Estate Limited – Requested clarity on overlapping funding for two events.
