Workshops enable staff to explore options with elected members before ideas are fully developed, and to receive feedback and guidance on policy development or project design. No resolutions or decisions are made by elected members at workshops and so the requirements of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 relating to local authority meetings do not apply.

3	OPEN Workshop: Integrated Intensification Plan Change(IIPC): Consideration of feedback on draft replacement plan change. SESSION ONE
	Item Overview of the plan change process John Duguid – General Manager, Planning and Resource Consents Phill Reid – Manager Auckland-wide Planning Staff will provide an overview of the process from here to 24 September extraordinary committee meeting and beyond towards potential notification of a replacement plan change, including what the streamlined planning process would involve, the possibility of a council submission, and opportunity for local board views after close of submissions. Local board feedback and analysis John Duguid – General Manager, Planning and Resource Consents Ross Moffatt – Principal Planner This section of the workshop will present a summary of the local board views on the potential withdrawal of Plan Change 78 and the draft replacement plan change, as per resolutions of the local boards at their recent business meetings. Staff will also provide a summary of their analysis and initial response to the local board feedback. A summary of local board resolutions will be provided for ease of reference. Cr W Walker left the meeting at 10.47 Cr W Walker returned to the workshop at 10.56am Cr D Newman retired from the workshop at 11.03 Cr W Walker left the meeting at 11.13am Cr W Walker returned to workshop at 11.23am Cr S Stewart joined the workshop at 11.26am Mayor W Brown retired from the workshop at 11.45am The workshop adjourned at 11.55am and reconvened at 12.12pm Cr W Walker and Cr K Turner were not present Cr A Baker left the meeting and rejoined via electronic link at 12.12pm. Cr K Turner rejoined the workshop at 12.25pm Iwi feedback and analysis John Duguid – General Manager, Planning and Resource Consents Matthew Gouge – Senior Policy Planner This section of the workshop will present feedback received from iwi authorities on the potential withdrawal of Plan Change 78 and the draft replacement plan change. Staff will provide a summary of their initial response to this feedback. A summary of feedback from iwi will be provided for ease of reference. Economic analysis of the draft replacement plan change compared with Plan Change 78 Gary Blick – Chief Economist Deputy Mayor D Simpson left the electronic link at and entered the workshop at 12.45pm Cr W Walker returned to the workshop at 1.20pm Cr C Darby retired from the workshop at 1.26pm
