Whakataka te hau ki te uru
Whakataka te hau ki te tonga
Kia mākinakina ki uta
Kia mātaratara ki tai
E hī ake ana te atakura
He tio, he huka, he hauhū
Tihei Mauri Ora!
Cease oh winds of the west and of the south
Let the bracing breezes flow
over the land and the sea
Let the red-tipped dawn come
with a sharpened edge,
a touch of frost
a promise of a glorious day

|
|
Resolution number WHK/2024/73 MOVED by Chairperson C Handley, seconded by Member R Tucker: That the Waiheke Local Board: a) note it has established a pre-eminent agreement with Auckland Transport through an enduring Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed 23 May 2019, attached. The MOU has precedence at all times over all matters relating to transport and Auckland Transport activities on Waiheke island between Auckland Transport and the Waiheke Local Board. b) note that the Auckland Transport Board has approved the MOU and the iterative Waiheke 10-year Transport Plan, and note the inclusion of that in the draft Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP) being finalised currently and that the Kōkiri Agreement should reflect and be aligned with the Waiheke 10-year Transport Plan. c) note the exclusion of the Mātiatia landside redevelopment in this year’s Kōkiri Agreement, but its inclusion as an Auckland Transport Capital Project in the RLTP. This does not preclude this project being advanced with respect to collaboration in the first year. d) approve the Kōkiri Agreement subject to clarification on the following: i) verification of the visitor numbers in the introduction. ii) the Esplanade Project being subject to a community survey. iii) requests for information of funding streams outside the Kōkiri Agreement that will affect works in this financial year e.g. rural road funding. e) delegate to the chairperson minor edits to this motion. |
